Beginnings are beautiful, knowing where to start is half the journey. I was introduced to golf in high school in my senior year of high school. I graduated from the U of I in Recreation and Park Administration in February 1973. Around 1982, I was laid off as a Production Supervisor at the former Central Foundry a Division of General Motors. I saw there was going to be a Golf Tournament the 3rd week in July.

I found a professional golf instructor, took 3 lessons, entered the golf tournament, and came in next to last. I have been playing ever since. I have won more than 30 trophies, plagues, and ribbons in my golf profession.

I’m an ambassador for the Tennessee Senior Olympics.
